There's Strength in Unity
The Student Association is here to represent you at every level. This means that you can receive in-person advise if you need an issue resolved; when you feel you need representation in relation to wider issues affecting students such as course cuts, rising food prices, student provisions; or when you are subject to a disciplinary hearing.
We are here for you. We are here to defend your rights and fight for more. Our officers were elected by the student population on their manifesto pledges and work for your. But we can't fight alone. From protests at Scottish Parliament agianst rent rises to recent (well attended) protests at our Elmwood and Barony campus against course cuts, the more students rising up the stronger is our voice!
We have a world to win! That's why it's vital that you join our fight, stand in solidarity and speak to those issues affecting students. "The most revolutionary thing we can do," to paraphrase Rosa Luxemburg, "is to say loudly what is happening." And that's what we aim to do.
Keep an eye out for our elections - especially the Full Time Student Officer Elections. If you want to become a class rep, go here and if you want to extend your rights to the workplace consider joining a trade union. United work place have higher average wages, longer holidays and better sick day conditions, among many other perks.
And, of course, contact us at any time.
